President
Eduardo Navarrete Campuzano
​

Eduardo is an LLM student on the International Tax law pathway at King´s College London. His undergraduate studies are in accounting with a deep focus on Mexican Tax Law. During his Bachelor´s in Accounting, he was chosen captain of a team that represented the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) in contests on Mexican Tax Legislation. The team won the first regional place and the second national place. Eduardo has been working at the Central Bank of Mexico for the last six years. He collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to implement several projects related to tax-compliance, public servants´ obligations, corporate governance, and employee benefits. In addition to his experience in technical matters, he improved his soft skills while embracing the opportunity of working alongside senior positions within the organization.

 

As president of the PGLS, he is responsible for setting the strategic direction for the society, coordinating and supporting the society´s activities to ensure their well-execution, and overseeing the society´s financial planning.  He also acts as the main point of communication between the KCL Postgraduate Law Society and The Dickson Poon School of Law, the KCL Students´ Union, and other strategic partners.

Vice President
Bernardo Espinosa A

​

Bernardo is an L.L.M. student at King’s College London. Prior to his studies at King’s, Bernardo worked for 5 years as a Mexican qualified attorney in a top tier law firm. During his undergraduate law degree studies, he worked in two other leading firms in Mexico. Bernardo specializes in Real Estate, Commercial, Anti-trust and Financial Law, including cross-border commercial and transactional matters. Bernardo has represented national and foreign clients, in the drafting and negotiating different kinds of contracts, the formation and management of trusts, real estate, and corporate due diligence processes, and financing and refinancing corporate and/or real estate financings and investments, as well as in the legal maintenance of Mexican and LATAM corporate entities. Likewise, he has actively advised clients in the acquisition and lease of residential, hospitality, commercial and industrial real estate. 


Additionally, during all his career, he has engaged with Pro-Bono work, in particular for the benefit of non-profit organizations seeking to boost entrepreneurship and education in Mexico. 
 

In his role as Vice-President of the Post Graduate Law Society, Bernardo engages private and public institutions in London, to create bonds between King’s College London law school and its students, providing the latter with chances to enrich their academic experience.

Treasurer
Leela Tarang Krishna Paladugu

​

Tarang is pursuing his master's in Competition Law at King’s College London. He completed his bachelor's in Law & Business administration from O. P. Jindal Global University, India. He interned in various different sects of the law field – under Hon’ble judges of the Supreme Court of India & prominent Sr. Advocates, incorporate in-house counsels and in several tier – 1 Law firms – during his undergraduate course. He also participated in various Anti-trust moot court competitions. During his time in the undergraduate university, he lead and organized several award-winning student initiatives of cultural, sporting and academic prominence.

 

As Treasurer of the King´s College London PGLS, Tarang is primarily responsible for reporting funds and accounts, making and receiving payments, monitoring the funds, and raising funds through grants and sponsorship. Additionally, he engages with the organization of social and networking events where necessary and assists the committee with any other tasks in order to complete them promptly and efficiently.

Academic & Vocational Officer
Lucile Foucault

​

​

Lucile is an LL.M. candidate on the International Business Law pathway. She is a qualified lawyer in France (not sworn in). She studied law and economics during her bachelor’s degree. She also holds a master’s degree in International private law and international trade law from University Paris II Panthéon-Assas (France). Prior to joining King’s College London, she gained extensive work experience with French and British law firms in Paris and trained with the Paris Court of Appeal.  

 

As Vocational Officer, Lucile is responsible for organizing events that will help PGLS members to develop their professional career further. She liaises with law firms and other institutional partners to organize vocational events such as workshops, conferences, a tour of judicial organizations and networking events.

Communications officer
Garima Thukral

​

Garima is currently pursuing a Master of Laws (LL.M.), Specialist Pathway: International Business Law at King’s College London for the academic session 2019/2020. Prior to undertaking the post-graduate degree, she had completed the integrated 5-year Bachelor of Arts-Bachelor of Law program from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi, India with a First-Class Honours Degree. 

 

During her undergraduate studies, Garima interned at various reputed companies and law firms in Delhi, India. She also worked at the Supreme Court of India for a considerable period while pursuing her baccalaureate. Additionally, she completed a Para Legal Volunteers Training Programme under the aegis of Delhi State Legal Services Authority, held the position of a Sub Editor for her annual college magazine and was an active participant in extra-curricular activities. 

​

As the Marketing & Communications Officer, Garima works closely with the Vocational and Social Teams to organize the events for our fellow postgraduate batchmates. Acting from the forefront coupled with intrinsic supervision and detailed management she tirelessly works to ensure that the various events organized by the Committee have been advertised and promoted across all the social media handles in order to contribute to the post-graduate students’ comprehensive development and evading any impediments they encounter whilst eventually making their time at the university more memorable.

Social Secretary
Martin Jimenez Bonola
​

Martín is an LL.M. student on the International Business Law pathway at King´s College London. Prior to his studies at King´s, Martín worked as an environmental and energy lawyer in one of the major law firms in Mexico City, Goodrich, Riquelme & Asociados, where he advised diverse companies to develop projects in Mexico, as well as, he represented them in front of Courts. Besides, he worked in the Mexican Supreme Court of Justice, where he helped to analyze the constitutional lawsuits. He holds an LL.B. degree from the Universidad Nacional Aútonoma de México (UNAM) and he is already a qualified lawyer in Mexico. He also studied at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid in Spain, where he completed his Erasmus studies. Martín is a native Spanish speaker and speaks English and Italian proficiently.

 

He also represented his law firm in the Latin American Exchange Programme organized by the Law Society of England and Wales and the Bar Council, where he had the opportunity to build a strong network with some of the most prestigious law firms in London, Manchester, and Nottingham. During this program, he worked with a barrister/arbitrator at Hardwicke Chambers and in the Insurance Department at RPC in London.

 

In his role as a social secretary, he helps the different teams to bring up ideas in order to organize events that could benefit his fellow students, as well as, he contacts different law firms to invite them to participate. Also, he organizes events and encourages students to participate in them in order to widen their network.

Joffrey Chignard
​

Joffrey is an  LL.M. candidate in International Dispute Resolution. He holds a Master's Degree in Private international law and international trade law from University Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne and a double-bachelor in Law and English Literature from the University of Versailles. Prior to joining King’s College London, he realised internships in law firms and NGO in Paris and Mexico City. 

 

As Vocational Officer, Joffrey is responsible for organising events that will help PGLS members to develop their professional career further. He liaises with law firms and other institutional partners to organise vocational events such as workshops, conference, tour of judicial organisations and networking events.
