President
Magda Aref, Mag. iur.
Magda is an LLM student on the International Business Law pathway at King´s College London. She achieved her Magistra Iuris in law from the University of Vienna and is currently pursuing her Doctor Iuris specializing on cross-border M&A transactions. After her studies Magda was employed at the M&A department of a highly esteemed international law firm in Vienna. In addition and as part of her judicial training, she has also gained valuable experiences at the public prosecution department and the district court in Vienna prior to her attendance to the King's College London. In fact, due to her extraordinary achievements during that year, she was highly esteemed by her superiors and passed her traineeship with distinction.
Chosen as the president of the King´s College London PGLS, Magda is responsible for detailing the various long term and short term strategies of the PGLS. Cooperating closely with other committee representatives as the head of the society, her main and pivotal goal is to offer and provide social and insightful careers events for all members. Acting as a corollary she also represents the society when coordinating with the Dickson Poon School of Law, KCLSU, and other commercial partners.

Vice President
Suchitra Kumar, LLB
As Vice President of King´s College London PGLS, Suchitra oversees student outreach and relationship management in organising events such as the Reed Smith Energy Panel 2017. A First Class Degree holder from the University of Manchester, Suchitra also currently assists Prof. Ravi Tennekoon as his secretary in ensuring the smooth running of Financial Law related modules at KCL.

Treasurer
Davide Canzano, MA
Davide is an LLM student on the Competition Law pathway. He holds a Master's degree in law from the Catholic University of Milan. Over university years, he also attended summer schools at the London School of Economics and Peking University. Prior to joining King's, he worked for renowned Italian law firms in Milan.
As Treasurer of the King´s College London PGLS Davide is primarily responsible for reporting funds and accounts, making and receiving payments, monitoring the funds, and raising funds through grants and sponsorship. Additionally, he engages with the organisation of social and networking events where necessary, and assists the committee with any other tasks in order to complete them promptly and efficiently.
Born and raised in Italy, Davide enjoys good food and is keen on the law of ancient Rome.

Vocational Officer
Samuel Steg, LLM
Samuel is an LLM student on the Intellectual Property and Information Law pathway. He is a qualified lawyer in France and holds two Master’s degrees: one in Business Law from the Paris-Dauphine University and one in Intellectual Property from the Panthéon-Sorbonne University of Paris. He is also a teaching assistant to Professor David Kessler for his Cultural Law class at the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (“SciencesPo Paris”). Prior to joining King’s, he worked for French and American law firms in Paris.
As the Vocational Officer, Samuel is responsible for organising events that will help with the members´ future employment. Samuel works with law firms and other partners to help organise these vocational events. He liaises with individuals who have successfully navigated these career paths to come up with events that enhance the opportunities available to postgraduate law students.

Public Relations Officer
Shubhika Tayade, LLB
As the public relations officer, Shubhika works with the committee to organise various social and vocational events. In particular, she ensures that the society's events receive publicity and are advertised over numerous social media outlets to enable the postgraduate student community to make the most of their time at university.
Shubhika is an LLM student on the International Financial Law pathway. Originally from India, prior to her master’s degree, she graduated with a first-class LLB degree from the University of Manchester.

Social Secretary
Fatima Malik, MA & LLB
Fatima is pursuing an LLM in International Dispute Resolution at King’s. She holds an LLB (Hons) degree from University of London and a MA in International Law, Diplomacy and Global Change from Coventry University. Previously, Fatima has worked in civil litigation and for the Government of Punjab. She is a licensed advocate at the High Court in Pakistan. As part of the society she enjoys engaging with people from diverse backgrounds and believes in building relationships.
As the Social Secretary, she has a “can-do” attitude and supports the society by planning and organising events, such as the “Christmas Special Ice Skating Event”. She is also involved with various charities such as Shelter UK for pro-bono work. Her interests include Biking, Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad.

Social Secretary
Eva Claeys, LLM
Eva is a Belgian LLM student specialising in Corporate Law. She is currently following the LLM in International Financial Law pathway at King's College London and holds a Master of Laws degree (Cum Laude) from Ghent University (Belgium). During her Master studies she successfully completed an Erasmus exchange programme with the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne Lawschool in Paris (France) and interned at the corporate department of two reputed Belgian law firms and was a marketing trainee at a large Belgian bank. In her spare time she loves spending time with friends, sports and discovering the vibrant city of London.
As Social Secretary of the King's College London PGLS, Eva is responsible for the planning and successful execution of all the Society's social events. Moreover, next to organising fun gatherings with the LLM students during the year, she is looking forward to sharing her enthusiasm with the committee and making the Postgraduate Law Society Summer Ball another edition to remember.

MA Representative
Sibreen Rafsan, LLB
As a MA Academic Representative of King's College London PGLS, Sibreen works alongside the committee to ensure that student concerns and feedbacks are relayed across to the committee to showcase the various academic and social events the society has to offer. Sibreen's role is to encourage an integrative community of all postgraduate law students to allow awareness of the several opportunities open to them to suit their individual needs. Sibreen works alongside the president and the co-members of the society, collaborating events and making sure the society runs smoothly ensuring the PGLS is concrete and successful.
Sibreen is a Medical Ethics and Law student having graduated with an LLB with a 2.1 from City University of London.
