President
Dusan Mitrovic
​
Dusan is an LL.M. student on the Competition Law pathway at King’s College London. Prior to his studies at King’s, Dusan worked in the two top tier law firms in the Balkan region as well as in the tax department at Deloitte & Touche. He holds an LL.M. degree in European Integration from a University of Belgrade, where he also earned his undergraduate degree. During his postgraduate studies in Belgrade, Dusan undertook an internship at the Supreme Arbitrazh (Commercial) Court of the Russian Federation, where he furthered his knowledge of the Russian law. He has lived in Moscow, Russia, for more than 12 years, where he graduated from the mathematical gymnasium. Dusan is a native speaker of Russian and Serbian languages, speaks English and Croatian proficiently, and has basic knowledge of Chinese (Mandarin) and German languages.
In his role as the president of Postgraduate Law Society at King’s College London, Dusan is responsible for designing long term and short-term strategies of PGLS and coordinating work of the committee. Along with other members of the committee, he works on enriching student experience and presenting opportunities for PGLS members to network, further their academic interests, as well as develop their careers. Acting as the president, Dusan is the main contact for coordination with Dickson Poon School of Law, KCL Student Union and other partners and sponsors.

Vice President
Merikukka Laulainen​
Merikukka is an LL.M. student following the International Business Law pathway at King's College London. Prior to joining King's, she graduated from Tallinn Law School of Tallinn University of Technology with a high 2:1 class degree (BA/LLB) in European Union and International Law.
​
For the past three years, she has been working as an in-house Legal Trainee, starting as a legal internship in 2016, at SSH Communications Security Corporation, a Finnish listed cyber security company operating globally. She is still currently employed at the company and works remotely from London.
​
As the Vice President of Postgraduate Law Society, she supports the President in managerial capacities, oversees the student outreach and enjoys to participate in the relationship management and events planning with the other committee members.

Treasurer
Kwai Sheung Lo​
Kwai Sheung is pursuing a MA in Global Ethics and Human Values at with Dickson Poon School of Law at King’s College London, concentrating on humanitarian issues, such as human rights and international justice. She has previously completed her B.Soc.Sc in Government and Public Administration in Hong Kong with a 2:1 honour. Prior to joining King’s College London, Kwai Sheung undertook an internship at the United Nations Resident Coordinator Office, the office of the highest UN official and the chief of UN diplomatic mission in a country. Working directly with the Director of RCO, she assisted in coordinating UN entities’ works in China at the country level, and drafted substantive speeches and remarks to be delivered by the Resident Coordinator. She also took a lead role on coordinating one of the joint-agency projects on poverty reduction in a developing county in China. Before that, she was an assistant at University of Chicago Booth School of Business, undertaking marketing and administrative tasks.
As the treasurer of the Postgraduate Law Society, Kwai Sheung manages the society’s budget for events and works closely with the Vice President in securing sponsorships. She is also the focal point of the team to liaise with the marketing and financial team of King’s College London Student Union.

Vocational Officer
Ivan Kovalenko
Ivan is an LL.M. student on the International Financial Law pathway. He achieved a Doctor of Philosophy degree and a Master's degree in criminal law from University Odessa Academy of Law (Ukraine). After his studies, Ivan was working for four years as a public prosecutor in Prosecutor's Office of Odessa region where he achieved valuable work experience. Currently, he is a qualified lawyer in Ukraine.
​
As the Vocational Officer, Ivan is responsible for organising events that will help with the members' future employment. Ivan works with law firms and academic staff to help organise vocational events. He liaises with individuals who have successfully navigated these career paths to come up with events that enhance the opportunities available to postgraduate law students.

Social Secretary
Fatima Javaid Ahmed
Fatima is currently pursuing a Masters in Global Ethics and Human Values at King's College London. She holds BA-LLB (Honours) from the Lahore University of Management Sciences, from where she graduated with merit.
​
Prior to joining the programme at King's College London, she worked as an Associate Lawyer at the Office of the Attorney-General for Pakistan, where she was instrumental in the European Union extending Pakistan's General System of Preferences (GSP+) status whereby Pakistani goods were allowed the duty free access into European markets.
​
She hopes that through her work as Social Secretary, she can contribute to making her fellow students' time at the university more memorable and enjoyable.
